Every few years you will run into a designer that who's creations capture your imagination. For me this designer has been the one and only Josh Goot. I first laid eyes on his breath-taking collections in 2012 and I have not looked back since.
Josh Goot is an Australian women's luxury fashion designer, who excels at combining clean lines, structured cuts and vibrant prints to create an ultra modern aesthetic. It’s little wonder that Goot is consistently recognised as one of Australia’s most influential designers. Today I am wearing Goot's Scuplt Mini from his current collection, adorned in a gorgeously vibrant violet/blue Snake Skin print. The inverted pleat design turns it from an ordinary skirt into an eye-catching work of art.
Fun Fact: Josh Goot's girlfriend is none other than Vogue Australia's senior fashion editor... the stunning Christine Centenera! who regularly adorns Goot's latest creations as a part of her daily style (jealous much!?)
It is the year of the Snake and with that Snakeskin has officially made a come back on the fashion scene with a plethora of python sheath dresses, clutches and shoes waiting to be snapped up. However, snakeskin is a notoriously hard trend to wear, as it is easy to cross over from snakeskin chic to something out of Pretty Woman or Desperate Housewives. Click here for a great guide on how to wear the trend.
On another note, how amazing are these Windsor Smith 'Gillie' black suede beauties?? which have been inspired by a Giuseppe Zanotti creation worn by the likes of Song of Style. I think I am developing a knack for finding the perfect designer alternatives at a fraction of the price!
